Quilter’s Palette
August 31 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Class includes all supplies needed to complete a 24” X 24” outdoor barn quilt (BQ).

Minimum requirement of 8 participants and up to 16.
Depending on size, classes take from 4 to 6 hours
Typical class timeline
9 to 10 Set-up and participants choosing colors.
10 to 11 Jane- Educational / instructional, Q & A.
11 to 12: Participants drawing out their pattern, Jane readying the individual paint choices.
12 to 3:00 Taping, painting, taping, painting, etc. (extra purchases can be done at this time too)
3:00 to 4:00): Wrap up.
Class supplies include: 24” X 24” ACM (Aluminum Composite Material, outdoor sign board), edges sanded, and the front
has two coats of primer. The board will be gridded beforehand and students will draw their own patterns. Ruler, razor
knife, yellow Delicate Frogtape, pencil, three brushes (3/4” brush, 0.25” brush, fine-tip brush) cloth, Magic Eraser, and
choice of four paint colors (1 oz size).
Prior to class students will select their block design from 60 choices. At class they will select their paint colors (from 60 +
options), four are included with class and additional colors can be purchased.

Jane has environmentally friendly practices in place. There will not be any paint brush cleaning, or dirty water disposed
of on-site.
Participants keep their finished barn quilt, paints, and complete supply kit.
During the latter part of the class students are welcome to purchase primed boards, paint, and any other retail items.
Classroom setup:
Each student will have their own table. Longer tables could be shared by two students if needed.
A sheet to cover and protect the tables will be provided by Jane. Aprons are also provided, but it’s not messy.
Access to drinking water and a washroom due to length of class.
Students can bring snacks and/or lunch if allowed at the venue.
